Manchester United's 'next Ronaldo' targeted by Blackburn

The Belgian-born youngster impressed throughout pre-season with some fine displays for the Red Devils. The 18-year-old has been compared with Manchester United fan-favourite Cristiano Ronaldo by Eric Harison, who was the mastermind behind the class of 1992.

However, the youngster is yet to feature for United in the league this season and he could be set for first-team experience.

And Blackburn, who have had a mixed start to their league campaign, could now tempt the starlet to Ewood Park.

Derek Shaw, Blackburn's managing director, is hopeful that his long-term relationship with United boss David Moyes will help a deal take place.

Rovers are hoping Januzaj can link up with key man Jordan Rhodes to boost the club's promotion push.

Blackburn will currently be preparing for the Lancashire derby which takes place on September 14 as they travel to rivals Burnley.
